Finding Hope in a Crisis

ROSA LEE IS A SISTERHOOD

In light of our current global situation involving the Corona Virus, we want to let you know from the bottom of our hearts at Rosa Lee that we value each one of YOU. It is because of YOU that we can continue. It is the entire Sisterhood that keeps Rosa Lee going.

Each day, 5 or 6 lovely ladies come to Rosa Lee to serve YOU and rely on Rosa Lee for their livelihood! This is a time of uncertainty for us at Rosa Lee and for all of you as well. We continue to show up on your social media, not out of greed, but out of love for you and the ladies that work here. We are taking this virus day-by-day because we all have seen how quickly everything has changed. As long as we can, we will be here to serve you.

While none of us know what the future holds, the Lord surely does. He is a sovereign Lord and the Corona Virus has not been a surprise to Him. In Jeremiah 29, Jeremiah wrote a letter to priests and surviving elders that had been exiled out of Jerusalem by King Nebekenezzar. They were surrounded by false teachings and lies. They were living through unknown circumstances… sounds similar, right? In his letter, Jeremiah encouraged them to listen to and focus on their Lord–not the lies and uncertainty around them.

We all know the famous verse from this letter, “‘For I know the plans I have for you’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11)’”  Here Jeremiah is not saying the exiles will not go through trials, but that in the end God has a plan! No matter what we face, we should find HOPE in His name and His plans. Again, this life is all by design. He is always in control–despite us not seeing the end. His plans are ETERNAL and we should take delight in the fact that He is working all things together for the good of His people.

We know that life on this Earth is not easy and that there are trials to overcome, but we can overcome them with His strength. And in the end, whatever may pass, we can rest in knowing that it was all HIS plan. Dara read Isaiah 41:10 on a Facebook live post and it was a perfect word from the Lord. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am YOUR God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” When we are weak and scared, he is strong and courageous! He is our stable rock through this time and we should all continue to look to Him for comfort.

As we continue to rely on the Lord, it is also important to note that He has given us wisdom and knowledge to help us through this life. We should be wise and heed the warnings that have been expressed by our earthly leaders as well. God has placed them in these authoritative positions for a reason. It is our responsibility to listen and pray daily for those leading us through this uncertain time.

With love,
